A circular design of spring bulbs and new leaves in crisp colours I designed this embroidery in tandem with Hazy Days, while still living in London. I spent many lunch breaks in the churchyard down the road from my then office sketching and coming up with stitches that would bring the bulbs, flowers and new leaves to life. I chose colours that made the design feel fresh and alive, and named it for the ubiquitous pollen that fills the air when spring has sprung. This is a 20-page digital pattern in PDF format. The pattern includes: Needle and thread requirements : A list of the DMC six-stranded cotton colours and the required needle types and sizes for the embroidery. Transfer instructions : Various options for transferring the design on to fabric. Full, illustrated embroidery instructions : The stitch types, DMC thread colours and number of strands to use are given in full, as well as any additional instructions needed to complete the embroidery. Reference photographs : Full-colour, close-up photos for reference when stitching each section of the design. Full-size design : The design is given at actual size (100%) for easy home printing, as well as at 50% for you to enlarge. The embroidered design measures 13x13" (33x33cm). Reversed design : The design is also given in reverse, should you want to use the iron-on transfer method, and includes a transfer test design. Printing : The PDF document is set up to fit on A4 or US letter sized paper when printed on a home printer. Tips : Tips scattered here and there in the pattern help make the most of your embroidery.
