Hi! You obviously either make or want to make Temari balls, or you wouldn't be reading this! If you already make them, you probably like to record what you make - the design, notes on how you did each section, hints to yourself to make the next one easier - yes? If so, you'll know how hard it can be to find a simple and easy to use method of doing this. If you haven't started yet, let me tell you that recording your makes is a great way to remember what went right/wrong and why, making your future Temari so much easier to do. I couldn't find anything available to do this, so I devised a really easy-to-use and comprehensive way to create Temari Notebooks for myself - and here it is! The system is designed to provide you with a method of making one or more volumes of your Temari designs. The .PDF file you download contains 12 elements to create Temari Notebooks for pretty much all of the Divisions you'll ever need. It includes - * an attractive front cover * an Ex-Libris or Bookplate page for your name * a 50-design Index page * separate pages for Simple Division designs from 4 to 24 divisions * a Complex 8 Division design page and * a Complex 10 division design page Each design page includes spaces for the design title and date of making; a drawn grid or schematic for you to fill in your design visually in coloured pencils etc and a large notes section to detail the making process and maybe add a photo. On the Index page, you can fill in the name of each of 50 designs, so you can find them again quickly. The cover and pages can be hole-punched and added to a ring binder; comb or spiral bound or anything you like. The picture shows an example of the pages contained on the .PDF (low resolution and not printable, for obvious reasons - some people are sadly not as honest as you). The real thing is much sharper and has no extraneous lines or marks. The design pages are actually the same size as the cover. The pages are designed to print on A4 size paper, but my US friends assure me it prints just fine on letter-size if you set your printer to scale to fit the paper. Well, that's pretty good, don't you think? However the best is yet to come! The purchase of this .PDF comes with a licence for you to print off as many copies as you want - for ever! You can produce as many Temari Design volumes as your heart desires. If you run out of pages - just print some more! Much better than buying notebooks time after time and then having to laboriously draw the schematics in.. The only things the Lifetime Licence DOESN'T allow you to do is to print copies of the notebook to share with or sell to anyone else, and also doesn't permit sharing with or selling of the .PDF file itself to anyone else. Teachers, if you would like to use this system with your students, please ask me for my very reasonable bulk licence rate. This System took a surprisingly long time to assemble and perfect and is covered by copyright law. I know you will respect my work :-) Have fun!! My mother taught me to knit at age 4 and I haven't stopped crafting since! I work at a variety of crafts and also write tutorials to help others to find new skills or brush up on existing ones. In 'real life' I'm a qualified antiques restorer. I am fascinated by Japanese Temari and have written a number of tutorials in English to help non-Japanese stitchers to create some of the amazing designs. Although the tutorials are ranked into Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced, Temari from the upper two levels can quite easily be worked by stitchers with little experience of the craft, as the tutorials give very detailed, step-by-step instructions. Full support is given by email for all my tutorials. If you have a problem stitching your project, drop me a line and we'll solve it together.
