What type of piece is this? Drawing Share a little about the materials, processes and techniques used to create this piece. I used Swrathmore Tracing paper, 9"x12" smooth surface. Graphite pencils B, HB, H, 2H, 4H, erasers, shading stick, a fan brush and an Albertian Veil on tracing paper were used. This was a process over much time. First the eye line did not seem correct. I noted the 3/8th inch of the veil material seemed to make a wider line than a piece of thinner material. After much testing and retesting, I felt that I had to have a smaller foreground. The time between the original and traced drawing left me uncertain as to where I actually was when doing the original drawing I presumed. Then the tracing paper was difficult to see through so I used various methods to correct that; none worked very well. Thus, I got a new brand and after using it on the drawing I removed it and finished the scene. I must have done several attempts until it appeared corrected to me. Is the piece for sale? No What are you most proud of? Not quitting. What advice would you give someone starting this project? Check the veil material. At the art store I felt I had clear material, but not so. Also, test the tracing paper to be sure you can see through it. I tried to simulate a light box with the sketch book but it was not working for me. I found it more difficult to draw not the tracing paper than on the sketch book. If I had used more dark lines it might have been easier, yet I didn't want dark lines.
