Hello lmfr, Your drawing is improving with each amendment, refinement, and revision. As regards the path it may need two things: tone and detail. First, there should be a general tone that promotes its recession to the house. This would be a light midtone that would be placed on the entire path. Then you place the dark values upon it representing the shadows and modeling of the path. [You are doing this the other way round: Placing the shadows and modeling first.] Were you able to take a photographic or digital image of this and reformat it into a black & white format? [Please review the commentary on your previous posting.] This would give you a good way to make a tonal comparison and assist you in execution. For detail, notice how unvaried the verges or sides of the path are as they go from foreground to the house. The line quality should vary. For example, getting less dark and thick, as it goes to the house. Notice how successful the ground plane works along the fence.
