Project

Country road

Share a little about the materials, processes and techniques used to create this piece. I reviewed the entire class so my projects are going to be a combination of sessions. I found this photo that I thought was a very good depiction of perspective, as well as atmospheric. I used several pencil weights, on 90 pound paper. I've never done a sky in graphite before, so I used A tortilion to lay down a shadow and then used the Kneaded eraser to pull out the white. The photo is beautiful in color, but I changed it to monotone so that I could see the shadows better. I overlayed a sheet protector with the AS lines to see how the layout worked.
