Winter Baby Boy Blanket

Project Description

What was your source for this crocheting project? Online Photo or Website Name of website or photo Bubbles Baby Blanket Link to website or photo www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/bubbles-baby-blanket What are you most proud of? This is the first project with appliques I had done. What advice would you give someone starting this project? This was quick and easy to do. A thick blanket that I hope is not too heavy for the baby. I did 2 rows of the pattern as a border and it definetly looks better using a different colour, which I was able to add once I knew the new arrival is a boy. The pattern for the applique is from Coats and Clark (www.coatsandclark.com) pattern number WR1667 Bird and Flower Appliques which is found under "Crochet" and "Accessories". I put a applique in each corner and really happy with how it turned out.

Q&A with Love2Crochet

Debbie C. asked:
I love your embellishments (the border and the bird). They definitely add some pizzazz to an otherwise pretty, but plain, pattern.
Love2Crochet answered:
Thanks for you comment. I thought the same, rather boring without them.

Thank you for the pattern. I believe I have done this pattern, but with a single strand. Your's looks terrific. Especially trimmed in the blue. Going to get on this soon for a Holiday gift. Thank you again.......Claudette
