Sweet Princess Cocoon-ghan -Crocodile St

Project Description

What was your source for this crocheting project? Online Photo or Website Name of website or photo Project Pattern Link to website or photo www.craftsy.com/user/63604/pattern-store What are you most proud of? Figuring out how to make the top like an afghan and having it turn out evenly and nice looking. What advice would you give someone starting this project? This pattern is not for the new crocheter. There is a great free tutorial video on the crocodile stitch which I highly recommend from Art of Crochet by Teresa (love her videos). The link is on the crochet pattern itself. Once you learn this stitch it is fun and easy. Working it in the round is a bit tricky but once again, once you have the concept down it is easy. Q&A with Monica Kennedy

PatriciaJ4345 asked:
I live in Savannah TN , I love the little cocoon, I would even try to make them for all new born's. I work in the gift shop at the hospital and we support the Darrol Worley Cancer Center I think these would sell.
Monica Kennedy answered:
Good luck with that! I would price them at least $30 for the plain and more for the more intricate. Cut down costs by choosing a less expensive yarn - but this does have a good feel to it. Using the large hook even helps less expensive yarns feel softer.
