Q&A with CorrineMB

Miasmimi asked:
Gorgeous! I made a shawl like this back in the 60's, and wore it until it fell to shreds. It was the only garment I ever crocheted - and I have searched for a pattern ever since. I think it's time for me to go yarn shopping today. Thank you for sharing. My 10 year old fashionista granddaughter is fascinated with the clothing of that era, perhaps I'll buy two crochet hooks! ;-)
CorrineMB answered:
Oh, that is a GREAT story!! And what a great way to introduce crochet to your granddaughter. It is such a simple pattern! :) Thank you so much!
Sheila Zachariae asked:
Love this. I also adore the strategically places tassels. Here and there instead of every chain.
CorrineMB answered:
Thank you! It's what most of the projects tied to this pattern looked like, so I went with it. I do love a full-fringe, but there is something about this placement that is just so cool. I think I placed them every 5 or 6 rows. :)
Trishamathis asked:
Beautiful, I want to make me one.
CorrineMB answered:
Thank you! Oh, do!! They are so very easy and fast! It's also the perfect thing for just a little coverage--not too much!
mimiloves5 asked:
I love this pattern, I've lost count of how many of these I've made and given away. I know that I've used the heck out of mine. :)
CorrineMB answered:
I'm only on my 2nd one (I have this one, which is mine, and I am making one for my mama now), but this is definitely going to be a go-to pattern for giviing. Last week in church when the AC went on, I loaned mine to a friend who was cold, and I know she'd love one of her own. And they work up fast! (Um, when ya work on them...my mom's has been in a bag for weeks while I do a test shawl for a designer, but I will get back to it!)
ksulfaro9277018 asked:
Where is the pattern?
CorrineMB answered:
If you click on the link in the "What is the source.." box next to the pics, it'll take you to Ravelry. Then you can download the PDF there. Have fun making one!! :)
