Rose Garden Granny Blanket

Project Description

What was your source for this crocheting project? Online Photo or Website Name of website or photo Rose Garden Afghan Link to website or photo www.craftown.com/crochet/pat29.htm What are you most proud of? I was only a beginner crocheter at the time but was determined to complete this ambitious piece. The fact that I worked out by myself the design and colour pattern with the yarns I had in hand gives me great satisfaction. The design and colour combination of granny squares in this spread are original, and not copied from somewhere. What advice would you give someone starting this project? If you can make a crochet granny square then you can make this bedspread. The project is mostly a repetition of this motif, in different sizes. Start with some basic 5"x5" or 6"x6" squares and see how you like to arrange them. Then move onto making larger squares, and lay them out on the bed you intend it for. Move them around until you like your design. You will end up with a unique item that will become an heirloom piece.

What you will need
