Patchwork for Baby 1

Project Description

What are you most proud of? I researched different stitches from many sources to create this one-of-a-kind crib blanket for my first grandchild. There was no pattern or measurements to guide me. Each block has a unique pattern. Only a few use the same color. In Patchwork for Baby 2 you can view more blocks. What advice would you give someone starting this project? Be creative, learn new stitches and have fun!

Beth245 asked:
Good on you for experimenting - the result is a wonderful use of stitches and colours.
NanaJeanFL answered:
Thanks again Beth. I had a lot of fun doing the research and found many new stitches to try in the process :D
Karren_rn asked:
Wow, I love how you incorporated all the different textures.. I am not only a crocheter, but also a RN, I can just see a little one who has discovered the sense of "touch" rubbing their little fingers over these beautiful textures... Not only a work of art, but a developmental blanket as well that would be great for tummy time!
NanaJeanFL answered:
The so much Karen. I'll have to ask Mom about that!
