Project

Parasol

Project Description

What are you most proud of? I am not proud of something but happy that women like it. I sold some parasols for weddings, horse races (instad of hats), store decorations etc. etc. What advice would you give someone starting this project? one must work carefully and the stitches should be evenly corchet.

What you will need

  • 100% DMC mercerized cotton

This is beautiful and would be perfect as a wedding accessory! Did you make it for a wedding? I enjoy crochet but I don't know how to make umbrellas - I am a big fan. Could you teach a Craftsy class on the technique?

Monique Deichl asked:
This is a very beautiful umbrella for a marriage. I would like to have the pattern? ? Is their a way for me to get it?? When it's possible, how can I get it?? I live in the Netherlands.
eprice1688 answered:
Hi Monique. I do make up the pattern at random and have nothing to hand out. The basic pattern however is from www.iraRott.com. You can use and pattern you know for a round tablecloth (e.g.). Use an old umbrellar with 8 or 10spokes (must be equal to the pattern division) and then work from there. For the last 5/7 cm do not increase any more so that the umbrellar becomes a better shape. Good luck and thanks for your comment.
