Mohair and Daisies Blanket

Project Description

What are you most proud of? Read more on my blog here http://sheilazachariae.blogspot.com/2014/06/mohair-blanket-with-daisies.html What advice would you give someone starting this project? Do you ever knit or crochet something and think..."It's cute", but I want it to be REALLY cute! This was one of those projects. It happens to me all the time, whether I'm painting, upholstering, knitting, crocheting or whatever, I think, well, I don't really like it that much. When I think that, it just means it's not finished. So I added some daises! I whipped these up in about 15 minutes or so with a Daisy Loom! The yarn is lovely and from Mary Maxim called Seasons in Winter. Two skeins, a J hook and one skein of some leftover Patons Lace in Vintage Antique for the edge. I just tacked them on through the center with the yarn tail. Scattered about like they had fallen on the blanket.

What you will need

  • Mary Maxim Seasons in Winter
  • US J-10/6.00mm/UK 4

Would like the pattern for this and what kind of yarn do you use. It is so beautiful. All you designs are great!
Sheila Zachariae answered:
Thank you Patty! If you look in the materials section above, the yarn info is there. As far as the pattern goes, it's just a giant granny square!

monstermum asked:
Such a lovely soft blanket for a baby to feel warm and comfortable in and the daisies just make it more special. Even though the blanket is beautiful it has been done in soft colours so as not to take away the look of the sweet little one cradled inside. Well done. I love it.
Sheila Zachariae answered:
Thank you for the kind words!
