What was your source for this crocheting project? Online Photo or Website Name of website or photo Let It Snow Valance Link to website or photo www.crochetbykathy.com/Seasonal1.html What are you most proud of? I love the way the design turned out so the light shows through the snowflakes. The design also continues up through the top to create the rod pocket for the curtain rod. The valance has three sizes, with the snowflakes descending in size from bottom to top in each of the larger sizes. What advice would you give someone starting this project? This is similar to filet crochet, only worked diagonally to make the snowflakes more symmetrical. Follow the instructions for the blocks and open spaces to create the snowflake design. The valance is worked from the bottom up. A graph is also included for reference. The finished sizes are: Short Valance: 16-1/2" long (pictured) Long Valance: 24-1/4" long Cafe Curtain: 32" long All sizes are 67-1/2" wide, with a repeat in the pattern provided to increase the width in 13-1/2" increments. This pattern is available for $4.50 and is written in U.S. terms.
