Q&A with SheCrochets

AngelBaby asked:
How much yarn did you use? I seem to be having difficulty figuring that out!
SheCrochets answered:
The patten calls for 835 yards, but I don't know how much of it I used. I used a yarn I had in stash rather than the yarn specified on the pattern, which was in smaller sized balls than what's called for. Sorry I'm not much help there!
rosie.sha1038013 asked:
hey im trying to make this as a present. im a little confused at to what size of wool i should use? I started in aran with a size 4 hook but its huge. Can you offer any help thanks :)
SheCrochets answered:
The pattern calls for worsted weight yarn and a G (6) hook. Your aran yarn might be too chunky to hit gauge, which is 4 hdc/inch. Row gauge is 3 rows/inch. I would definitely swatch for gauge, and if you're too big, move down a hook size until you get it, Or change out your yarn for a finer weight.
