French Poodles

Project Description

What was your source for this crocheting project? Online Photo or Website Name of website or photo Pomp-a-Poodle Crochet Pattern Link to website or photo www.redheart.com/free-patterns/pomp-poodle What are you most proud of? I was worried my poodle would lack the cuteness of the photo in the pattern, especially as I substituted the bobble wool & ribbon. But I think it turned out fairly well. What advice would you give someone starting this project? I was disappointed with the body front as it involves decreasing and as the body was already tightly stuffed it was very bulky and difficult to work. The spaces between decreases were very wide, so I crocheted a round disk with the same wool and slipped it inside to hide the stuffing. Next time I would loosely stuff the body then finish the decreases and stuff tightly by pushing the filling through the neck opening before sewing the head on.
