Flower Coasters

Project Description

What was your source for this crocheting project? Online Photo or Website Name of website or photo Springtime Coasters Link to website or photo www.allfreecrochet.com/Crochet-Coasters/SpringtimeCoasters What are you most proud of? I thought the coasters were a bit too bumpy after I made them, so I blocked them, and they came out much flatter. No problem standing a glass on them now. What advice would you give someone starting this project? I used to resist blocking because I thought it was too time-consuming. But after HAVING to do it on a few items, I realized it is well worth the effort (which really isn't all that much). I now block most of my crocheted items because I like them to have that crisp, professional look.

What you will need

  • Lily 'n Cream 100% cotton yarn

Q&A with Debbie C.

escher asked:
I looked at all your projects and was impressed with the neatness and great colors of everything. Congratulations!
Debbie C. answered:
Thank you so much! I looked at your chevron stripe afghan and beaded crochet earrings, too. Very nice! I am inspired to try the earrings. I love to bead, but haven't had much success with combining beads and crochet.
ChristineE asked:
Lovely! Would love to make some. Where can I find the pattern?

angelinaj61561 asked:
Love these.......don't have to worry about cold, wet cans or glasses sticking to the water that dripped down sides......I like these a lot. Is there a pattern? I normally crochet from watching, that's the way I learned, but will have to try and read directions....lol.
Debbie C. answered:
There are good tutorials online for learning how to read crochet instructions. Try a google search and see what you come up with :)
Mrs. Caswell asked:
I made several sets of these this summer, too! Love the ease of the pattern and how "summery" they look! You did a great job!
Debbie C. answered:
Aren't they fun? To make and to use!
Kathyo263 asked:
I am looking forward to making lots of these for gifts. Thank you.
Debbie C. answered:
You are welcome.
