Q&A with Deanna McArthur

crochetluv asked:
This is the cutest thing I have ever seen!! Any chance you will be selling the pattern here on Craftsy with instructions on combining those two beautiful yarns you used to create that look??
Deanna McArthur answered:
The greatest thing about the yarn used is that it is one skein of yarn.... not even a full skein. It's called Bernat Baby Jacquard and I used the color "Orange Blossom". It does that floral pattern all on its own and is quite beautiful. No extra instructions needed. Just use the yarn and it comes out in that beautiful pattern all on its own!... depending on how wide your piece is of course. This giraffe was only 54 stitches around at its widest points. The pattern however was designed to look similar to another series of patterns I love by Auroragurumi. I sell the products of those patterns and had someone ask for a giraffe which Auroragurumi does not have. So I made one from scratch myself to look like the others (bears, huskies, moose, reindeer, cow, and lion). It is the style my customers have grown to expect so I did not want to disappoint them by showing them something completely different. I will have to discuss pattern sale with her first.

She's amazing!!!
Deanna McArthur answered:
Thanks so much, Stacey!
Snzaga13 asked:
I was wondering about the patterns on the head and arm and belly, is that a type of yarn? I want to try this but I am not sure if I have what I need and if I can make that pattern. Thanks!! Sara
Deanna McArthur answered:
sorry I didn't see this. Unfortunately that pattern is part of the yarn. Bernat Baby Jacquards. And it seems that lately it has been discontinued. :(
