Crocheted Lap Afghan

What are you most proud of? I changed the pattern slightly. I only did 19 repeats of the pattern stitch. On the edge, I used the back loops only for the first two rows of DC which makes two nice lines for more texture. On the last row I only used 2 single crochet, skip one SC - 2 SC because I thought it looked less frilly. What advice would you give someone starting this project? Check your back post DC often because sometimes I missed and had to take out a couple of rows...better to check often than pull out stitches!!!

You Can Make This

Marie Withrow made Crocheted Lap Afghan with:

  • 4 Skeins Red Heart Super Saver Yarn - 7 oz - and size I crochet hook. I made it shorter than pattern called for - final size was 36" wide by 54" long. Pattern can be found at: http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/crocheted-lap-afghan
  • US I-9/5.50mm/UK 5
