Q&A with Jo Veal

sbrekke asked:
I would love to get the pattern for the crochet headbands. Thanks!
Jo Veal answered:
Sure.....make a chain of 4, then hdc all the way across turning at each end. Make sure you stitch in the same stitch at each end to keep the rows square. When you reach the length you want, then chain 5, skip 1 ch and join with sl st....do this all the way around. Join the 2 ends together and stitch. Flower: ch 5, join with sl st. dc in loop twelve times, join with sl st. dc in each stitch around again and join. For petals, sc in any dc to begin and sc 10 times, turn and sc back down the same stitches, join with sl st in next opening. continue around the flower until you have made 16 petals. They will curl on their own. Please let me know if you can't understand any of this and I will try to explain. Thanks!

hdc is half double crochet...you could also just use a double crochet.
