Classic Summer Set

Project Description

What was your source for this crocheting project? Online Photo or Website Name of website or photo Classic Summer Set Link to website or photo www.crochetbykathy.com/Apparel1.html What are you most proud of? I started out making a coverup, then decided there would be more options in sizing if the top and skirt were separate. As I was making the skirt, I thought of making a slit in the back. I liked the way that turned out and decided to add the same detail on the sides of the top. I got carried away and added a matching hat, too. I'm very happy with the way my "coverup" turned out! What advice would you give someone starting this project? If you love thread crochet, this is a great project for the intermediate crocheter. Assembly charts are provided for all sizes. The finished chest sizes for the top are: 31-1/2", 36", 40-1/2", 45", and 49-1/2". The finished waist/hip sizes for the skirt are: 22-1/4"/36", 25"/40-1/2", 27-3/4"/45", 30-1/2"/49-1/2", and 33-1/4"/54". Instructions are also included to create intermediate waist sizes for the skirt. The hat size is 22-1/2" circumference. The pattern is available for $6.50 and is written in U.S. terms. The pattern link above is for the 3-piece set. The hat is also available separately as the "Classic Summer Hat".
