Beguile bracelet

Project Description

What are you most proud of? It has a slightly gothic style that fits perfectly the young girl I made it for. She was really pleased with it . What advice would you give someone starting this project? This pattern is pleasant to tat. I hadn't tat in a while though, so watch some of Marylee's class again. It also looks nicer when the stitches are tighter, or so I think (I tend to tat a bit too loose)

What you will need

  • Coton size 20 I suppose
  • though the size was not indicated on this thrifted yarn and 2 shuttles from clover and of course the pattern from the Beguile Set of Marylee Rockley's book Up and Tat'Em
  • Other

Q&A with Samia 3643

Marilee Rockley asked:
Wow! That's spectacular! I'm really impressed with what you've done with the pattern.
Samia 3643 answered:
Thank you Marilee. I'm working my way through your book Up and Tat'Em, and I have such a great time. I know you are in the process of making another book and I have seen on your blog that it is a lot of work. So, I just wanted to say that all that work is appreciated. Your pictures and diagrams make the patterns easy to follow and understand . Keep up the good work and thanks for teaching me to tat !
G-mama Jane asked:
Your bracelet is so beautiful! I love the Love Birds charm. Can you help me find one?
Samia 3643 answered:
Thank you for the comment. I bought the charm in a craft supply shop here in northern France. The shop is called graphigro and it was 8 charms for 4.50 euros
