Q&A with Amihill

Debbie C. asked:
This is the most adorable little baby garment I've ever seen! And you designed it yourself? I don't know if I can duplicate the pattern, but I'm going to try. It's too cute!!!
Amihill answered:
Hi Debbie. I didn't have a pattern to follow. I just made a pile of little squares and laid them out to form a one piece garment. I joined them all together. I made two triangle shapes for the neck. THen I just went around the outside after the sleeves and hem bit with a single stich. Hope that helps!
shedafaye37721 asked:
I'm looking forward to doing this--just for fun--and saving it for a baby shower. But how do you do a half granny square for that neckline?
Amihill answered:
Hiya, I made a ring of stitches as per normal when doing a square. I went around half of the square and turned it around to go back instead of going all the way around. With the extra little stitches from the unused loop, I just stitched them into the final surrounding little half stitch border. It was a bit of a fudge job, but it worked! :-)
