Baby Booties for Anna

What was your source for this crocheting project? Online Photo or Website Name of website or photo Old Rose Baby Booties Link to website or photo www.craftsy.com/pattern/crocheting/clothing/old-rose-baby-booties-/18375 What advice would you give someone starting this project? Use a larger crochet hook than I did (3.0). They turned out fine, just really small! The pattern said to use 3.25. I used different shades of pink for the soles and shoe which I think adds a subtle extra to the colouring. On the first pair I made (as shown in the photos) I used a second small crocheted flower instead of buttons. Buttons are more practical though and just as cute. After trying the first pair on, I made the closing strap a few stitches longer and placed it a little bit (2 st.) more to the front. The fact that these booties can be closed makes them practical for newborns, as socks etc. always slip off in a sec, but you'll like those straps to be comfortable as well as easy to close.
