Amigurumi sea turtle and baby

Project Description

What was your source for this crocheting project? Online Photo or Website Name of website or photo Sea Turtle Mom and babe Link to website or photo etsy.com/Amy Gaines What are you most proud of? Well in the words of Francine Toukou my dearest pen pal in NY, nothing! I am thankful for everything and I hope she doesn't mind if I quote her. I would quote about anything she said since I am such a big fan of hers. Check out her patterns and ready to wear on www.Francinetoukou.com. You won't be sorry. Her slippers are on here and I have made 8 pairs as gifts over the last 2 months. I have a lot of happy two-footed friends. I suppose they could be altered for a pet but you would need four :) What advice would you give someone starting this project? I would advise that the fins be changed to a small circle and folded in half, stuffed, sewn together and then attached in the proper places. The fins in the pattern were very hard. at least for me. Someone else may not have a bit of trouble but I did. Patience is always a good bit of advise to give to anyone started Ami art. The possibilities are endless as there is so much that can be made and not just toys as you can find on etsy and here on craftsy.com.

What you will need

  • # 3-4 worsted yarn or crochet thread in two colors of green
  • size 4.0 mm hook or size to fit thread/yarn used
  • needle for sewing and two 6mm plastic child-proof toy eyes.

Damsel asked:
This turtle is so cute!
linpiration answered:
It was hard though. I thought it would be easy but it was my hardest. I went back to slippers after this one......maybe more to come but later......thanks!
