Color inspires me.,,, often it's my muse. Using those beautiful colors gives me joy. Creating patterns and offering them to others is an unexpected pleasure in my life that I hope will continue long into my twilight years. Crochet is such a relaxing past time, one I hope many can enjoy. My favorite pattern is one that you can nestle into the couch with on a rainy day, turn on some soft music and mindlessly crochet. When I say mindless its in a good way. A pattern that is repetitious and moves along at a good pace. The next thing you know you've spent a blissfully relaxing day and have a new blanket, hat or scarf to show off. Something beautiful for yourself or as an amazing handmade gift for someone you love. I've always been a maker, someone who simply wants to make their own instead of buying it. I learned to crochet and made my first purse at the age of 10. That was a long time ago and a few other colorful past times took crochets place in those years. Just look in my stash closet and you'll find fabric and thread, yarn and roving with lots of gadgets like looms and spinning wheels. But even though I occasionally get distracted I always come back to crochet.
