My real name is Thomasina but most people just call me Tammy. I've loved crochet since I was a child, when someone bought me the Ladybird Learn to Crochet book for Christmas. I tried to teach myself, and failed, so many times before it clicked. But, when it did, my parents couldn't have been happier! No longer did I moan about having nothing to do.....a copy of Golden Hands and I was no trouble for days. As I got older, I worked my way through most of the crafts in those magazines, (which I still have today), but crochet and sewing were the only ones to capture my imagination completely. Back in the 80s, pregnant with my eldest daughter, I suddenly had a reason to crochet again - bonnets, booties, matinee jackets and no end of blankets awaited her arrival; it was something I picked up and put down many times over the years that followed. It wasn't until the birth of baby number 5 (last year), that I started writing patterns for the things I made - I guess being teased by my family that I might get old and forget them was the prod I needed ;) The patterns I bring you now are a mixture of both old and new designs - I hope you find something you like.
