I love the versatility of this design. It's fun to experiment with different color combinations for different looks. You can also add the shell stitch trim, or leave it off to vary the design. The use of worsted weight yarn and a large hook means that it works up very quickly. What a special gift this would make for a new mom to be! The pattern will make a size 6-12 months, but can easily be adjusted by starting with a larger or smaller number of stitches. Please feel free to reach out to me if you need help adjusting the stitch count for a different size. BASIC SKILLS NECESSARY Chain Stitch Double Crochet Shell Stitch (explained within the pattern) GAUGE 4 Rows x 6 Stitches = 2 square inches SIZING / FINISHED MEASUREMENTS 6 months Chest Circumference - 18" Shoulder to Hem - 13" PREFERRED BRAND/YARN Red Heart Soft

I have been crafting since I was a little girl, partly because I don't like to just sit still and do nothing! I love the feeling of finishing a project, and I love the reaction when I give a special handmade gift to one of my children or a friend. There is something very special about making something that no one else has. If you have tried out any of my patterns, the first thing you probably noticed is that they are EASY! Why? While I love a good challenge as much as the next girl, I also like to knit and crochet to unwind after a long stressful day at the office. I often (always) work on my projects while watching TV or a movie or while spending time with my three children who like to talk... sometimes at a very fast pace and all at once. :) An easy pattern is a requirement for me. I hate frogging or as I call it un-knitting. I've made it a bit of a mission to create patterns that look difficult and impressive but actually aren't. I really hope that you enjoy making them as much as I did.
