Pattern Details

I fell in love with Tunisian Crochet earlier this year. When I needed to update the kitchen in my new home, I decided to crochet all of the accessories. This pattern includes a tutorial on how to do the Tunisian Simple Stitch. I included links to online tutorials I have written in case you find it confusing. instructions for casting on and casting/binding off are included. If you really get lost, email me and I will gladly help you out. Green and white go well almost year 'round. You can use this during St. Patrick's Day, Christmas, Spring and Summer. Change up the yarn color for Valentine's Day and other holidays. The potholder doubles as a hot pad. Kitchen Cotton is very tough and can handle the heat with ease. I have never burned or scorched one yet. Cotton makes this pot holder washable and easy to care for. It is a large pot holder, approximately 8" by 9". It will protect your hands well. If you cannot find this particular yarn, any worsted weight, 100 percent cotton yarn will do. A skein of yarn will make 2 pot holders. A 16 ounce cone will make about 5. I love dressing up my kitchen. This pot holder stitches up quickly. I purchase Lion Brand Kitchen Cotton by the cone when it is on sale. I have been crafting since I was a kid.I Since my breast cancer diagnosis, I have decided to do what I love--which is crochet and other needle work. Lily Chin, Doris Chan, and Robyn Chachula are my inspirations. They have wonderful ideas and no one on the planet crochets faster than Lily Chin. I am always looking to expand my skill set. You could call me a fiber junky. My yarn stash is taking over the house and storage unit. Creating patterns is a new skill for me. I have so many patterns in my head--I usually do not use a pattern any more. Getting the ideas in my head and into digital format is an exciting new area of my home business. My crochet business, The Granny Squared can be found on Etsy. You can check out my blog at to see what I have been up to lately.
