PATTERN DETAILS

(Please note that this listing does NOT include the Deep Sea Diver. A combined listing is available for the two patterns at a reduced cost.) Many people fear squid due to their other-worldly anatomy and powerful tentacles. However, on the whole they're a gentle species and just float around the depths of the ocean with grace and serenity. Regardless, if a squid does happen to knock on your door you are advised to politely ask them to leave. BASIC SKILLS NECESSARY single crochet, chain stitch SIZING / FINISHED MEASUREMENTS The squid measures 35cm, or 14", from the end of the tentacle to the top of the head. The length of the head excluding arms and tentacles is 11cm or 4.5".

Recommended with this pattern

  • DK weight yarn in colours of your choice, safety eyes (two small, two medium/large), polyfibre stuffing, 4mm crochet hook, large-eye needle
  • Pipe cleaners for the arms are optional

Maffers
Hello, I'm Maffers. I've always loved soft toys and this continued beyond childhood. I'd find myself in antiques fairs snooping around for unusual toys to take home, with Friedrich Nietzsche (an angry lamb) and Quentin Breadmunch (an erudite duck) being my most prized finds. I crochet, by and large, to bring imagined toys into existence. I share some of my creations with close friends but I tend to form a steadfast bond with my toys as soon as they're finished and as such I generally can't bring myself to part with them.
