PATTERN DETAILS

सितारे sitārē , means "stars" in Hindi (pronounced 'sita-ray') This pattern is worked from the bottom up. This pattern uses the superb star stitch. The first row of your project defines the width of your scarf. Gauge is unimportant as it will vary for different yarns. The scarf 'slides' diagonally every few rows, with one 'increasing edge', though the number of stitches remain constant from the first row.
