This top looks wonderful as a loose fitting tunic or a form fitting T-shirt. Use your measurement to select the fit you desire. For a loose fit, choose the finished measurements 2 to 4 inches larger than your own measurements. For a more fitted look, choose the one that is 0 to 1 inch larger than your own measurements. For reference, the picture shows a top with finished measurements of 36 inch bust on a model with 34 inch bust. The top is worked sideways in one piece with the neck, sleeve and bottom trim added. As with most of the talented Artists on this site, I have been creating items since early childhood. I learned many of my arts from my grandmother, aunts, and mother. I love to sew, work in the garden...any of those wonderful creative activities. I owned a Florist and Gift Shop for many years. I can't describe the joy I had in working with all those beautiful fresh flowers. Creating beautiful arrangements for weddings, birth of a baby or for the funeral of a loved one, was very personal to me. My shop was in a small town so I knew each of my customers well.. My current occupation is designing, creating, and selling handmade knit and crochet items. It is more than an occupation though. It is a passion. I especially love creating a heirloom item for babies. It is so much fun working with the Mothers, Grandmothers, and even occasionally a Father, to design just the right outfit for their new baby. While I have been designing my own items for a while, I have just started trying to put them into a pattern format for others to use. I hope to continue to add more patterns as time goes by. Thanks for stopping by!
