Crochet this floppy little stuffed lion with band-aids on his leg and chest to comfort a sick child and it will quickly become her favorite toy. The head and body are made from separate circles, then crocheted together and the head is sewn to the body. The limbs are worked in the round and then sewn onto the body. The band-aids, nose, eyes, and ears are crocheted separately and then sewn on. The mane is made from scraps of yarn attached like a fringe around the head. US crochet terminology. Crochet With Attitude
I have been crocheting since I was a teenager and started designing crochet patterns several years later. I wanted to make a sweater for my daughter and I couldn't read the crochet patterns. I later taught myself to read patterns. The first pattern I sold was a square sampler baby afghan to Crochet World and I haven't stopped designing since. I also make one-of-a-kind freeform crochet scarves and sell them in my Etsy shop, on Ebay, and at local arts and craft sales.
