This is a pair of fingerless gloves I designed for the Designer's Challenge on Ravelry & won second place! The theme was "garden," it had to be a foot or hand accessory, and you had to use both sc & dc. Everyone went with the obvious, flowers; but I immediately thought of a rock garden, and this was the design I came up with. They are definitely a little out of the ordinary! The popcorns go all the way around the hand, both on the palm & the back of the hand, & are a wonderful way to add texture & fun to any outfit. You begin with the sc ribbed cuff, sew or slip stitch the seam, turn the cuff sideways & begin working the pattern, joining after each round. The only seam is in the cuff. Thanks to daughterofartemis, redcurlysue, sueburkitt, TanyaRC, merripurdy, Crochooked, & HSULadybug for their test crocheting skills! And many more thanks go to Susan Moskwa ( for her tech editing skills! Feel free to make as many of these as you like for local craft fairs/auctions/raffles/bazaars, but please do not sell finished items online. Anastacia Knits Designs
My name is Anastacia, and I am the scrap yarn/one skein queen. I buy my yarn mainly at yard sales/thrift stores, so I got used to making do with what I could find. So most of my patterns are designed to use up the odd skeins or leftovers in your life, and are geared towards beginner crocheters or those who just want a fast, easy, but still pretty item. I'm a 30 something adult living in MA. I’m married, have a wonderful cat named Wedgie, & I work full time. I also teach knitting & crocheting at my local Michael's & squeeze in designing as many hours as I can a week. I do love to hear from everyone, but please remember that I am busy, just like you, & will reply as soon as I can. All of my patterns use USA terms & abbreviations. I try to layout my patterns as simply as possible to save money for people printing at home. My patterns are as short as possible, usually with only one photo on the first page, which you can easily skip printing to save ink. .
