I've worn silver bracelets all of my life. So I've been exploring decorating the wrist with fiber. I love the magic of felting and these bracelets combine these affections. I've named them Regina for my maternal grandmother. The pattern has two approaches to the body. These also work as unfelted, oversized bangles. There are an infinite number of ways to embellish them. The pattern explains two fiber-based approaches but there are many more you could explore: embroidery, applique', beading, and buttons, to name a few. Materials Bulky, feltable Wool (approx. 20 yards) Feltable worsted weight wool scraps Any weight feltable wool yarn scraps (no superwash) L Hook Yarn Needle For felting :2 containers/bowls/pots Hot and cold water source Liquid soap Optional: felting needle(s) I've tested them using two strands of worsted weight held together and this stranding offered opportunities for color play and mixing (loved two pinks and a green). PREFERRED BRAND/YARN Feltable Wools, preferably bulky or worsted

Long, long ago, far, far away, when the subway cost a quarter and the corner drugstore was also an ice cream parlor where a little girl sipped vanilla egg creams, her mother, who made her wonderful clothes, showed her how to crochet. Her father taught her how to solder and make a tuner.
