I worked in an office that couldn't make up it's mind if it was freezing or just moderately cold. I needed a sweater that would change with the indoor weather. This sweater is convertible! Use it either as a cardigan or a sweater. You can even wear it as a pullover if you choose to just sew the front placket on and do faux buttonholes by just sewing the buttons on. The yarn makes it stretchy and the larger hook size makes it very drapy. The pattern gives it a slightly fitted line so you look fabulous and well put together. It's completely machine wash and dry for easy care. I do recommend that you store it folded rather than hung up. BASIC SKILLS NECESSARY Chain, Single Crochet, Double Crochet, Increase, Decrease, Buttonholes SIZING / FINISHED MEASUREMENTS Size Sm, Med, Lg, Ex Lg

Recommended with this pattern

  • 5 Skiens Red Heart Soft Yarn, 1 additional skein for trim, (22) 3/4" shank buttons, large eyed needle, Size H hook

I started crocheting when I was about 8 years old. I remember my grandmother was very religious and stood by the standard of no work on Sundays. I was caught designing a dress for a doll and got in serious trouble because to her it was work. To me it was fun! Serious difference of opinion there! I have been designing and crocheting since then, I picked up sewing at 10. My first project was a pair of pants that I sewed the fronts together and the backs together instead of a front to a back. Very awkward, but I finally figured it out! Now I make and design most of my own clothes in either medium and often put the two together to create something special.
