Go ahead... play with your food! My 13-year-old daughter came up with this design idea: an amigurumi toy that comes apart like those trendy, collectible, Japanese puzzle erasers. I went gaga over her idea and modified her design to include plastic cross-stitch canvas in the stick to make it rigid. Looks like a milk chocolate-coated Dove bar... yum! This ice cream bar is quick and easy to make, and best of all: no sewing pieces together--just pure crochet bliss. And it makes a fun gift: kids love pulling the pieces apart and putting them back together. Pattern includes: -- definitions of stitch abbreviations -- materials list, including recommended yarn brands and colors -- lots of step-by-step color photos -- links to helpful online crochet tutorials BASIC SKILLS NECESSARY Chain Slip Stitch Single Crochet Half-double Crochet Double Crochet GAUGE 10 sc x 10 rows = 2 inches SIZING / FINISHED MEASUREMENTS About 4.5 inches (11 cm) tall, 2.5 inches (6 cm) wide PREFERRED BRAND/YARN Caron One Pound in White and Cream, Caron Simply Soft in Chocolate
