Pattern Details

I don't always like to carry my purse! When going to the football games, the gym, picking up my child at school or running to the store for milk, I just need a place for a few dollars, keys and my cel phone. This pocket cowl is perfect. Great for walkers/runners as it has a place for tunes. Great for any man, woman or teen. Adjust your diameter and length for children. Also, no button holes! Whip these up for your friends as gifts. The same pattern will work for women, men and teens. Great gift for your hairdresser, babysitter, day care provider, neighbor or teacher. Need a gift for the boss? Hostess gift? How about the hard to buy for person or man on your list. Wrap them up under the tree for the unexpected guest. I am always available for help! BASIC SKILLS NECESSARY I would rate this as a advanced beginner crocheter. This is a BIG cowl but has plenty of "squish"! Very easy pattern! SIZING / FINISHED MEASUREMENTS 28"/71cm in diameter x 8"/20.5cm H

I was taught to knit by my mother in my teens in the '70's and I quickly went from that to cross stitch and then needlepoint. Life goes on to a full time job, marriage, a child and then in early in 2004, I was forced to stay off my feet. I pick up the needles and started with knitting a scarf and then another, and then another. Next thing I know, I have 50 of them. Off to a local art gallery I go to peddle my wares. They loved and sold them all. Creative Design was born. Three upscale children's boutiques and women's wear shops later, here I am. Fingers flyin' with an Etsy shop sheilalikestoknit and lovin' Craftsy! I can most often be found in "my chair" surrounded by a pile of yarn, fabric, more yarn, needles, another pile of yarn, patterns, more fabric...etc. We love to travel, eat good food, be with family and great friends. Knitwear: my handmade knitwear is lovingly created by me. The process of choosing great fabric and yarn colors is half the fun. Knitting it all up and seeing it come together is wonderful and the final moment of seeing this creation around someones neck, on a little body, noggin or in their stroller is the BEST. My Philosophy: I am committed to quality fabric and fiber. Attention to detail, craftsmanship and customer satisfaction will always be part of that philosophy.
