A never-ending soft and lacy scarf, in beautiful colors, that will brighten up a dreary winter day. The fun of making and wearing this chunky scarf is never ending too! An open-scallop border finishes the edging. It's particularly lovely in a multi-colored yarn. Northern Lights is a true mobius scarf, worked in the round from the center out in an easy to memorize pattern. It is fascinating to watch as it increases on both edges in the same round. Pattern size is easily adjustable, from a cowl to one that can be looped around the neck several times. It is also fabulous when made wider and just long enough to lay flat between your chest and coat. BASIC SKILLS NECESSARY ch, dc, sc, sl st GAUGE 13 sts and 7 rows = about 3.75" square (or about 4" square, slightly stretched) with size L hook. SIZING / FINISHED MEASUREMENTS Approximately 8" wide and 46" circumference, including twist. Size is easily adjustable (see pattern Notes).

As an avid crocheter and freelance designer, I can definitely say that I am truly hooked. I enjoy working with most any fiber, sometimes combined with beads to make crocheted jewelry and Christmas ornaments. I am also fascinated with the möbius strip and love designing and making scarves, worked from the center out, in this interesting shape. More of my designs can be found at:
