This blanket was designed to cuddle up nice and warm. Nothing better than bringing a little fantasy to your life. This blanket starts as a cocoon and then splits and opens up into a blanket to wrap around yourself. This Mermaid Tail Blanket makes for a great gift...especially when it's made by you! This is a 6 page pattern filled with picture tutorials throughout to guide you along. I also have a link for a video tutorial to help with beginning the tail on my FB page (written directions are also included). ***This pattern is a reflection of my many hours of practice, failures, and successes. so PLEASE DO NOT COPY, SHARE, ADJUST OR RESELL MY PATTERN. I wrote and tested this pattern myself, from beginning to end. It took a lot of time and work, and I would really like to have it remain "my pattern." Follow me!!! I learned to crochet when I was about 10. My great grandmother was bed-ridden and crocheted non-stop. I would sit in her bed for hours and go back and forth in a single stich until I had a very large, mis-shaped square. I did this summer after summer as I grew older until she finally passed in her 90's. It wasn't until my late 20's that I picked up a hook and started again during a very messy divorce. I made an amazing queen size blanket that I cherish and still use to this day. I call it my "Freedom Blanket". It was my new favorite thing to do in my free time. I started learning new things and exploring the art of crochet. After a few years my daughter told me I should try and make a beanie. I was hesitant as it seemed like something I could never figure out...but thanks to the wonderful world of YouTube, low and behold, I DID IT! It took a few years to perfect it, but I would make beanie after beanie and watched them get better and better as time went by. I started to get requests from friends sending me pics and asking if I could make something. So...a little YouTube, a little Google search, and I was making things I never thought I could do...and I loved every minute of it! So now I am hoping to share my work with the Craftsy world. My sister pushed me to create the shop, and I love her for her persistent push and faith in my work. I take great pride in what I make. I will work at until it meets my standard of excellence and present you with a product that I would be proud for you to wear and show off. Enjoy and thank you for taking the time to read about me :) Follow me!!! Instagram: @beccsmero #beccasbeanies
