This is the 5th of my monthly scarf designs for 2014. May started very sunny and warm, so I opted for a lightweight silky 4 ply/fingering yarn. Like the March scarf I decided on a lengthways design, but this time in a filet style (but not true filet crochet!). When making lengthways scarves it helps to use stitch markers as you have a very long foundation chain. However, you will find that you make this quite quickly. It is written in English and US crochet terms, and is charted. BASIC SKILLS NECESSARY Basic crochet stitches SIZING / FINISHED MEASUREMENTS 4" by 78" approx SUGGESTED YARN 400 yards of Fingering weight

Recommended with this pattern

  • 3mm, US D/3 crochet hook
  • yarn
