This set has been designed fora friend's son who oragnises adventure tours in India. The young man, like the wave, is a calm, easy-going person - who slowly broke all 'moulds' that 'society' creates (for us) and made a 'different life' for himself. He's off on yet another adventure, and could use this warm hat n beanie set :) This pattern has been tested using : FOR BEANIE a) 4-ply acrylic, Oswal Mills ; 4.5 mm crochet hook ; 25 gms /105 yds EACH of two colours ; b) Caron Simply Soft and Pound of Love; 4.5 mm crochet hook ; Took about 4 hrs ; Skill level by tester : Advanced and FOR SCARF a) 4-ply fingering yarn, Oswal Mills ; ~70 gms / 300 yds of two colours each ; 4.5 mm crochet hook ; b) Caron Simply Soft & Pound of Love ; 4.5 mm crochet hook ; Comments: Clear instructions and photos, took about 10-12 hrs Skill level by tester :Advanced - because of fsc. c) Joann's Sensation Cuddle (white 200 yds) & Premier Serenity Sock (Navy 184 yds) ; Comments :Easy pattern, can be done in one day. BASIC SKILLS NECESSARY ch, sc, sc back loop only, hdc, dc fsc knowlege good - link & tutorial given fpdc knowlege good - link & tutorial given ability to use 2 colours of yarn GAUGE not critical SIZING / FINISHED MEASUREMENTS Scarf : 20" x 8" SUGGESTED YARN 800 yards of Fingering weight
