FREE TUTORIAL for Crochet LUCET-CORD This is an old technique, maybe as far back as to the Vikings! The Lucet, also called Knitting-Fork or Chain-Fork, produce a strong, non-stretching braid. All kind of materials can be used, thin and thick! The best is - the cord comes out squared, with lot of stitch-loops to insert the hook in! Perfect for my Cord-Soles! I found however, that making Lucet-cord with cord-strings, is a finger-killing task! So I found a way to crochet the cord instead, saving the fingers for a lot of pain! This cord was used for my Chocolate and Pink Mocasins : http://www.craftsy.com/pattern/crocheting/accessory/crochet-loafers---moccasins-/48807 HOW TO MAKE SOLES Lucet-Cord is super for my Tailored CORD-Soles + Sole Treatment - Method for how to Turn home slippers into street shoes.
