PATTERN DETAILS

Last September (2014) I created a crochet pattern for a Newborn Granny Square Beanie with other sizes on my list to create. It was thanks to the request from a reader named Judy that I decided I would sit down this past weekend to revisit my Newborn Granny Square Beanie pattern and update it to include three baby sizes - newborn, 3-6 months and 6-12 months. These are great hats to work up for donation to your local baby hospital :) Remember to use soft acrylic or cotton yarn that machine washes and dries well and weave your ends in really, really well! Material Notes: Yarn Alternatives: Red Heart's With Love. Due to allergies, I do not suggest wools for baby - soft acrylics and cotton only. Time Spent: I worked up the newborn size in just under 30 minutes, the 3-6 month size in just about 30 minutes and the 6-12 month size in just over 30 minutes. BASIC SKILLS NECESSARY Single Crochet Double Crochet GAUGE 14 DC x 8 Rows = 4" x 4" SIZING / FINISHED MEASUREMENTS Newborn, 3-6 Months, 6-12 Months SUGGESTED YARN 125 yards of Worsted weight PREFERRED BRAND/YARN Hobby Lobby's I Love This Yarn COLORWAY I used Soft Pink, Purple and Spun Sugar Stripes.
