Aww, what a cute shark! It might need to lay off the extra fish, though, because it has quite a tummy! Make your own and decide for yourself: fierce predator... or cuddly playmate? This is a pattern for a fat shark amigurumi. It is worked in fourteen pieces and sewn together using a yarn needle. When worked in worsted-weight yarn, the finished stuffed animal is approximately 8 inches long, 5.5 inches wide, and 5.5 inches tall, excluding fins. The eyes and gills can be added as desired. Hello! I'm an avid crocheter in my early twenties. I learned to crochet in the summer of 2010 after attending a local craft fair, and I fell instantly in love with the art of amigurumi. I jumped quickly into designing my own patterns, and I haven't looked back since! My current obsession is sea creatures. I find marine invertebrates particularly fascinating, and draw much of my inspiration from them. My favorites are cuttlefish and nudibranchs (sea slugs)! When I'm not crocheting, I like to write, read, hike, and ski.
