FAIR ISLE CROCHET CARDIGAN FOR KIDS Warm all year cardigan for boys and girls. A heirloom! Look at the gorgeous pic of the little boy! It's Lene from Denmark who has created a beautiful little sweater from this pattern. Worked on the round after finishing the yoke. This crochet cardigan is inspired by the classic, Scandinavian stranded knitting-patterns. Being Norwegian, I've learned to appreciate them as part of my cultural inheritance. I'm always looking for methods to achieve the style in crochet! As an optional final finish, I have added surface crochet- and embroidery embellish to the cuffs and hemline! Another inspiration from the vintage Scandinavian knitted sweaters. Full tutorial in pattern for the surface-stitches! One piece, top/down. No yarn-breaking. The sleeves are raglan-shaped, giving room for a turtle-neck, etc, under the cardigan. The front is closed with traditional pewter-buttons, of course; Any matching buttons are nice! Link to the matching hat visible on some of the pictures: 16 pages Pdf-pattern Written instructions Step by step-pics Lots of detail-pics and tutorials Full st-diagram for Yoke in all sizes Detailed Measures for the cardigan, all sizes Full tutorial for the surface-stitches Suggestions for how to work the cardigan in Baby-sizes and sizes for big children (12-14 years).
