The word cwtch (pronounced cootch) is a Welsh word meaning "to cuddle". This snuggly soft Cwtch Cowl & Hood is so named because it is super cuddly, drapey and versatile in both color and options for wearing.Wear it up over the top of your head as a hood for extra warmth. Or roll the top down for a shorter cowl. However you choose to wear it--you can Cwtch up in it! My testers made it in neutrals with a little pop of color for the edging, which looks very classy. I'm thinking a linen color with neon orange or neon pink trim would look terrifically crisp. You could work the trim in yarn that matches the piece too, for a clean and simple finish. I even made a sample cowl in stripes that changed colors every couple of rows. Very versatile! Remember if you make something awesome using my patterns, you have permission to sell the finished product. All I ask is that you give credit to me for the pattern, and if you sell them online, pretty please provide a link for the pattern to me at Rewriting, reselling, distributing or copying the pattern itself is prohibited. Cheerful, Creative, Crocheter and Collector of all things Colorful describes me to a C--er, I mean a T. My sweet, left-handed granny taught me (a righty) to crochet when I was but a youngster. My first project was a hideously long scarf for my dad. It seems I just didn't know when to stop--something my teachers told me in school, too! Although crochet and other craftiness have always been part of my life, I channeled my energy and creativity into teaching Jr. High and High School sciences for many years. When I am not "yarning" (as described by my youngest), I treasure time with my family, friends, running, thrift store shopping, and learning new creative skills.
