PATTERN DETAILS

Written directions using American English crochet terms US and Metric Equivalents. Single ball project 100 - 150 yards/ 90 -135 m depending how long you want it Free support. Helpful in-progress photos now included. Easy to modify and make it your own. A fun project for yourself or as a quick gift. Unique asymmetric branching looks great with gradient striping yarns. Project needs blocking, but will still curl back up again slightly after wearing. Modifications to yarn weight and needle size have all worked out well for me, so have some fun and play around a bit. Once you've made one, it is also easy and fun to modify it for more complex branch formations. BASIC SKILLS NECESSARY chain half double crochet double crochet slip stitch Crochet into back loops GAUGE gauge is not critical - just make your stiches nice and tight, a little smaller needle than the yarn recommends SIZING / FINISHED MEASUREMENTS One size. Easily modified for length/yarn size SUGGESTED YARN 130 yards of Worsted weight PREFERRED BRAND/YARN I love this in any self striping

Recommended with this pattern

  • E or F (3 or 3.5 mm) hook
  • 100 yds (91 m) plus of Chunky Weight Yarn
  • darning needle to sew in ends

I specialize in small projects with big visual impact. Spicing up the traditional with interesting juxtapositions of texture, gauge, shape and/or color. Completing something amazing looking with nothing but your own two hands, yarn and sticks is so exciting and rewarding. Share the excitement - show off your projects from my designs by linking FO and in progress pics to the pattern page. Whether it’s straight from the directions or heavily modified, I love to see them! Questions? Contact me via email =lavishcraft@hotmail.com
