The first time I saw the crocodile stitch I fell in love. The stitch is beautiful when used in an afghan or scarf, but I thought, "Why not add a little bling?" Sparkly yarn and shiny beads give this quick project all the glamour you'll need for a night on the town or a pick-me-up on a cloudy day. This lovely little bag is a perfect project for learning the popular crocodile stitch and an easy introduction to crocheting with beads. Available in both US and UK terminology, the pattern also includes a detailed chart. Click on the link below the pattern title to download the template for the bag's lining or copy and past this URL into your browser: BASIC SKILLS NECESSARY Basic Crochet Stitches Post Stitches Sewing Straight Seems (for lining) GAUGE 4 shell repeats and 16 rows in crocodile stitch equals 4x4in (10x10cm) using 3.25mm hook, or size required to obtain gauge. Matching pattern gauge is not essential so long as your gauge is consistent in all 3 pieces of the bag. However, if you gauge doesn't match the pattern's you may need to adjust the lining template based upon your finished measurements. SIZING / FINISHED MEASUREMENTS 8.25in (21cm) x 5in (12.7cm)
