As with most beginners I started crocheting with the humble granny square blanket, the perfect gift for my new born baby girl. A very addictive pastime soon led to hundreds of hours spent learning and refining the craft. I wanted to add a modern fresh look to the traditional style so chose colours and designs that reflected this.
Things began to develop from there. Beanies and scarves were the obvious place to go next but then came the discovery of AMIGURUMI , a Japanese term for the art of creating stuffed animals or toys from yarn.
This opened up a whole new world of design possibilities. Toys were the start, then came the play food but my favourite creations were always the animals in my pet shop. I would get emails from people wanting a replica of one of their pets and I was always up for a challenge.
The time has come to begin sharing all I have learned with you, and so one by one I have begun to write all of my most cherished patterns.
