PATTERN DETAILS

Do you love to read? Use up your scrap thread to make these clever bookmarks. There are five different borders so each bookmark can have a different look. Instructions and graphs are included to make the "love to read" and "i love books" bookmarks, in addition to personalizing your own 4- or 6-position bookmark. The pattern uses a modified filet stitch: using 2 stitches per square instead of the typical 3 per square. Be sure to read the definitions for the blocks and spaces. This pattern is written in U.S. terms. BASIC SKILLS NECESSARY You should already know how to ch, sl st, sc, hdc, and dc. I have always loved crafting! My mom and I learned to crochet together when I was 12 because there was a crocheted vest I wanted to make. We worked through it and figured it out together. I have been crocheting ever since. I started writing down patterns when making snowflakes, one of my favorite projects to make. I love working on any kind of thread crochet project such as connect as you go motifs, filet crochet, etc. My other favorite crochet projects are working on my reversible designs. I also enjoy cross stitch and knitting. Someday I hope to learn quilting and tatting.
